Bug Fix for Student Navigation and Smarter Assignments

1 July 2024

Hello, Typing.com Educators!

We've got some important updates to share with you this month. Let's dive into what's been fixed and what's new!

What's Changed?

We've addressed two key issues this month:

  • Fixed a bug in student navigation

  • Improved lesson assignment functionality

How Does It Work?

Student Navigation Bug Fix

Good news! We've squashed a pesky bug that was affecting how you navigate between students. Now, when you use the arrow keys to toggle between students, it works exactly as it should—following the order you've set in your class list.

So sort your class list however you prefer—by last name, first name, or any other criteria. Then, when you're viewing individual students and use the arrow keys to toggle, it'll follow that exact order. This makes it easy to flip between students to gather up grades, for instance. Just as you'd expect!

Hassle-Free Assignment Creation

We've also made creating Assignments smoother by adding a feature that automatically enables any disabled lessons when you include them in an assignment.

So when creating an assignment, feel free to add any lesson you want. If it happens to be disabled for that class, don't worry! We'll automatically enable it for you (rather than making you go to the class settings to re-enable it). You'll see a friendly notification like this:
