What's changed?

Previously, Personalized Practice provided exercises with random words that emphasized your students' problem keys. While effective, these exercises could sometimes feel repetitive and less engaging.

Now, with the power of TypeAI™, Personalized Practice generates captivating stories and passages that make sense and are predominantly made up of the letters your students are struggling with. This makes practice more enjoyable and helps students develop their typing skills in a more meaningful context.

How it works

Typing.com tracks your students' problem keys — the keys that give them the most trouble. TypeAI™ then uses this information to create fun stories based on a variety of topics like cars, sports, and nature. These AI-powered passages are specifically designed to help your students improve where it matters most.

Where to find it

To view Personalized Practice as your students see it, do this:

1. Log into your Teacher Portal.

2. Click Classes.

3. Select a class.

4. Click on the Students tab.

5. Select a student.

6. Click Log in as next to the student whose personalized practice you want to access.

7. Under Typing Practice, you’ll see Your Problem Keys using TypeAI™ and three boxes: Top 2 Keys, Top 3 Keys, and Top 4 Keys.

8. Click Start next to the set of keys you want the student to practice.

9. Choose a topic for the story. TypeAI™ will generate a story based on the selected keys and topic.
